Digital Use Conditions

Create DUC profiles for EPND workflows

This EPND workspace helps teams build Digital Use Conditions profiles using Common Conditions of Use Elements, so permissions, restrictions, and sharing expectations are easier to record and review.

DUC

Digital Use Conditions (DUC)

Digital Use Conditions (DUC) is an operational data structure designed to standardise the way consent and use conditions relating to any resource are computationally represented.

A DUC structure populated with asset information and consent and use conditions becomes a DUC Profile, giving reviewers a consistent picture of how a resource may be used.

CCE

Common Conditions of Use Elements

This child project uses Common Conditions of Use Elements (CCE) as the controlled statement model for building DUC profiles.

CCE terms let you express rules in a structured way so EPND-facing profiles stay clearer, more comparable, and easier to review across datasets and resources.

Partners

DUC profiles are an initiative of the International Rare Disease Research Consortium (IRDiRC) in collaboration with the University of Leicester.
